Eleven candidates contesting Kildare South
With the close of nominations for the General Election being held on 8 February, there are now eleven candidates contesting the three available seats in Kildare South.
Cathal Berry from Portarlington, Non Party; Roisín Uí Bhroin from Athy, for Solidarity - People Before Profit; Suzanne Doyle from Kildare, for Fianna Fail; Anita Mhic Gib from Kilcullen, for Aontú; Linda Hayden from Newbridge, for the Social Democrats; Martin Heydon from Colbinstown, for Fine Gael; Ronan Maher from Newbridge, for the Green Party; Fiona McLoughlin Healy from The Curragh, Non Party; Fiona O'Loughlin from Newbridge, for Fianna Fail; Patricia Ryan from Monasterevin, for Sinn Fein; and Mark Wall from Athy, for Labour.
The fourth seat in the constituency is held by Seán Ó'Fearghaill from Kildare, for Fianna Fail. As Ceann Comhairle, he doesn't have to contest the election.
