Road works at Old Kilcullen, road safety in Brannockstown, traffic management at Scoil Bhride, and progress on the Market Square project are all on the agenda for tomorrow week's meeting of the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District, writes Brian Byrne.

Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer wants improvements of the roads in Old Kilcullen to be to be put in the Council's 2020 programme of works. She also has a motion asking what steps have been taken by the Council to implement road safety measures on the R413 between Brannockstown and Milemill, following a communication to the Council from the Dublin Coroner's Office in early November.

Cllr Fiona McLoughlin Healy wants to know what consideration the Council has given to the management of traffic around and between Scoil Bhride and Kilcullen. She references in this motion the fact that monies have been allocated to the proposed link road, and says that residents in Cnoc na Greine and Castlemartin are seeking 'reassurance' on a traffic management plan.

A quarterly update on Strategic Projects and Public Realm to be presented at the meeting will include the Market Square Project.
