Provincial Security sponsors KCFR defibrillator

Locally based Provincial Security Services has agreed to sponsor the purchase of a defibrillator for the re-formed Kilcullen Community First Responder unit, which is currently in the training process, writes Brian Byrne.

Meanwhile, the second round of Level 1 training which had been scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. The group apologises to anyone who had planned to attend for the short notice.

For those who have already completed Level 1, the Level 2 training will take place on 11 December, from 7.30pm-9pm. It will include more CPR and defibrillator training as well learning how to assist when paramedics arrive on scene. The provisional date for level 3 training is 11 January 2020.

The unit's provisional launch and 'go live' date is currently 19 January 2020. Information updates are available on the KCFR Facebook page.
