Green light for Community Garden
The proposed Kilcullen Community Garden in the grounds of the Library can now go ahead, the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action heard, writes Brian Byrne.
Pat Mangan told those present that the Library authorities had passed the plan submitted and that preliminary work could begin from 1 December.
The plan for the garden was prepared by Derek Hoey for KCA. It was revised in line with a possible requirement for expansion of the Library, currently housed in the 1925 former Boys School, a preserved structure.
KCA chair Ann Cashman welcomed the news, saying the plan is 'fantastic'. "It's great that it is going to happen."
