Good booking for Patricia Gibney evening

The evening with crime writer Patricia Gibney in Woodbine Books on Thursday has already gathered strong interest, with in excess of 30 people registered to attend, writes Brian Byrne.

But there's plenty of room for more, so a call to the bookshop will help them to deal with whatever the final number is.

The event, organised by Kilcullen Library in association with Woodbine as part of the Kildare Readers Festival, gets going at 6pm. The author will be in conversation with Mary Orford, who will help draw out the details of how a writer gets going, getting over early setbacks and then building on success as it starts to happen.

It's a free event, and everybody is welcome to what should be a fascinating night.
