Gold medallists will honour Kilcullen Olympians today

A reminder that an event to honour Kilcullen's Olympians being held today, Sunday 10 November, will have as special guests Olympic gold medallists Ronnie Delaney (Melbourne 1956) and Michael Carruth (Barcelona 1992), writes Brian Byrne.

The event is part of the Kilcullen 700 celebrations and will start at 5pm in Kilcullen Community Centre. It is a free event and everybody is invited to go along and show their support for the 12 local people who have participated in Olympiads down the decades.

Families of the Kilcullen Olympians will also be present at the event, which is organised by Kilcullen Community Centre as part of Kilcullen's year of celebrations.
