Thanks from Pieta House
The organisers of this year's Kilcullen Dawn Walk in aid of Pieta House has been thanked by the charity for the €10,503 raised by the event, writes Brian Byrne.
Marie Peelo, Deputy Director of Funding and Advocacy for Pieta House, described it as 'kind and wonderful support' for the work of the charity.
In a letter to Lorna Brophy, she said such support helps Pieta House to sustain its free service of one to one counselling to people who are suicidal or self-harming.
Ms Peelo noted that her organisation receives 86pc of its total funding through such donations, and such support is 'vital' to the work.
