Steiner Secondary School is open
Tuesday 3rd September was a momentous day for our school, writes Angie Ruane of the Kildare Steiner Secondary School. The Secondary School opened its doors to the first year class — the picture above shows Nikki Ellis, Class Guardian, cutting the ribbon!
Nikki cited the words spoken by Rudlof Steiner as he opened the first ever school in Stuttgart, one hundred years ago — it was an emotional moment for new and old families alike.
In their first week our students have been completing a community project at the local Grangebeg Camphill, where they have helped out with willow work, gardening and the annual potato harvest.
Nikki and her students are back in their classroom this Friday morning, preparing for an exciting and immersive year of Steiner education. This year’s learning will be based on the theme of exploration, including the Renaissance.
We will be hosting Open Days and experience mornings for prospective parents as the year progresses, so keep a watch on our website and Facebook page for notifications.
