Running track looking good, nearly done

A nice drone picture from Mark Phelan's MP Geomatics of the new running and sprint track at Scoil Bhride.

Mark's surveying company was involved in setting up the track. He also has pictures of other refurbishments on the Kilcullen Community Campus, including the recently resurfaced all weather pitch and the new nets on the Kilcullen GAA training pitch.

"And St. Bridget's Pitch & Putt is also looking splendid in the Autumn sunshine," he observes.

The final layer on the running track will go in next week but already the children are racing, jogging, skipping and walking round the track enjoying the facilities. "Additionally our 'Outdoor Classroom' has been moved from the rear of the school to a more suitable and sunnier location close to the pitch," Scoil Bhride Principal Anne Flanagan says.

On behalf of the school she has expressed a huge thanks to the school's Board of Management and the Parents Association for their fundraising efforts annually and to all parents and the Community of Kilcullen who support the school's events.

"We have a wonderful school with amazing resources and facilities which we are constantly improving and updating. Our seeded grass areas need time to grow so we ask that people using our facilities please refrain from walking on these areas."

The school also reminds dog owners that no dogs are allowed at any time on school property.
