The passing of Fr Supple

The Diary has learned with sadness of the death of Canon Desmond Supple last night, in the loving care of The Little Sisters of the Poor, Holy Family Residence, Clonskeagh.

He is sadly missed by his sister Réiltín (Stella) MacCana, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He served as Parish Priest in Kilcullen between 1990 and 2004, and lived in the parish for some years following his retirement. His passing will be sadly received by a generation of parishioners.

Fr Supple is reposing at Holy Family Residence, Clonskeagh on Tuesday afternoon from 4pm. with prayers at 7pm. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10.30am on Wednesday in the Holy Family Residence, with burial afterwards in Deansgrange Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor.
