Shortts Garden open for KARE this afternoon

A reminder that this afternoon is the final chance to go along to Francis and Mary Shortt's garden and give a little financial help to KARE while you're enjoying it, writes Brian Byrne.

The Diary visited yesterday, and re-discovered what is an oasis of peace in Old Kilcullen, in a garden tended with love and imagination, and this year including knitted yarn-bomb elements from the Suas Knitting Club.

It's a fiver in, which includes tea or coffee, some really nice home-baked pastries, and a sociable chat with lots of friends. Open 2pm-5pm.

It's a beautiful day today. Go spend some time of it in Old Kilcullen. If you can't make it, take a look at this link to the Diary's pics ... and sure maybe you can donate a €5 to KARE at a later convenience.
