More national silverware for Albert
Kilcullen masters athlete Albert Keenan took home a well deserved silver medal this morning in the National Five-Mile Athletics Championships in Dublin’s Phoenix park.
Albert ran a great time of 37 minutes but found one too good for him on the day. There are three more races in the National series and Albert is looking forward to the 10-mile and half marathon distances which he favours best, and he has gold firmly in his sights over the summer.
On reflection of the race results Albert was delighted to see that he had over 1,000 other runners behind him on the day, which is a testament to how well the race went for him.
