First meeting of new Council
The first meeting of the newly elected Kildare County Council will be held tomorrow, Friday, at 2pm in Áras Chill Dara in Naas, writes Brian Byrne.
It will also be the annual meeting of the Council for 2019. Kilcullen-based councillor Tracey O'Dwyer will be among the 40 recently-elected local representatives in attendance.
The first business will be the election of the Cathaoirleach, and afterwards appointments of councillors to a variety of national and local bodies and organisations, and Council-related committees.
