Gardens to open today for KWWSPCA Appeal
A reminder that the garden at Kilcullenbridge House, the home of Geraldine and Tony Gahan, Kilcullen, will be opened to the public today, Bloomsday, Sunday 16 June, in aid of the Kildare West Wicklow SPCA.
The event from 2pm-5pm, will showcase an area which over 20 years has been grown from an empty field to a garden with an emphasis on trees, flowers, roses and wildlife.
The Dara Quartet will perform at 3pm and the Gormanstown Choir will be competing with the birdsong during the afternoon.
There will be refreshments and a raffle, with lovely prizes donated by Nicholas Mosse Pottery, Hugh Statham Jewellers Naas, Johnstown Garden Centre and others.
The entrance fee is a donation to the KWWSPCA Animal Shelter Appeal. They have to leave the Animal Shelter in Athgarvan this year and are trying to raise funds to build a new, permanent shelter.
Entrance to Kilcullenbridge House is beside Bardon’s on Main Street. Please park on the street as there is no parking available at the house.
