Bees project launch on 19 May
Kilcullen Tidy Towns will launch its Pollinator and Beehive project in the Town Hall on Sunday 19 May, at 12 noon, writes Brian Byrne.
The project involves two beehives and bee colonies which have been purchased by Kilcullen Community Action. The hives have been set up in a secure area.
Weather permitting, there will be a visit to the beehives following the launch.
The project is led by local beekeeper Paul Leighton. The hives were decorated by pupils from Scoil Bhride.
The launch event is being hosted by the County Kildare Heritage Office. All are welcome.
