River of Tulips gets its bridge

Pic: Noel Clare.
The bit of sunshine in recent days is really helping the Kilcullen 700 'River of Tulips' along, writes Brian Byrne.

The planting of some 12,500 bulbs is located at the approach to Kilcullen near Moanbane Park, and the tulips are flanked by the blue muscari.

Yesterday, KCA volunteers added the stylised recreation of the bridge to the 'river', designed by Niamh and Joe O'Connor and used on the KCA float in the St Patrick's Day Parade.

Similar 'bridges' are being placed at the other approaches to the town.
