Date set for Cycle for Crumlin 2019

The sixth annual Murphy Surveys Cycle for Crumlin will take place this year on Saturday 20 July.

This charity cycle event hosted by Murphy Surveys in conjunction with the Kilcullen Cycling Club has become a firm favourite in the cycling calendar to raise money for the amazing work of CMRF Crumlin (the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation).

There will be 50km and 100km cycle routes that will start and finish in Kilcullen. The course has been designed for all fitness levels, so whether you’re a keen amateur cyclist or cycling for fun, this event is for you.

Murphy Surveys have raised in excess of €65,000 for CMRF Crumlin to date and with the public’s help they are aiming to smash previous targets to raise in excess of €20,000 this year.

CMRF Crumlin is the fundraising body for CHI Crumlin, and the National Children’s Research Centre, and is dedicated to helping sick children. They have helped improve the quality of life of thousands of children and help give hope to thousands more. On average 150,000 children walk through the doors of Crumlin hospital every year.

Niall Murphy Managing Director, Murphy Surveys, says this year’s event is extra special as it coincides with the Kilcullen 700, and will support the celebrations marking 700 years since the first bridge in Kilcullen across the Liffey.

"Through the kind generosity and support of our local businesses, we have once again been able to guarantee 100pc of the registration fee will go directly to the CMRF Crumlin. So if you’re a local business and want to get involved please, please get in touch.”
