CPC photographers' exhibition in CU

An exhibition of photographs in Kilcullen's Credit Union foyer is a great example of the kind of creativity in today's young people at CPC, writes Brian Byrne.

The images were produced by members of the Cross and Passion Photography Club, created under the theme of 'Personal Freedom'.

"They were asked to to explore what this means to them, through photography," says Lesley Kelly, the college's Art & Photography teacher. "The response to this project shows the diversity and range of interpretations of the theme."

Indeed, the images range from portraits, birds and other animals, architecture, nature and more, and are well worth a visit.

The Photography Club was established in 2017 when students expressed an interest in learning new skills, exploring themes and running exhibitions.

In addition to Lesley Kelly, the members are Abigail O'Leary, Emma Lynch, Caitlin Keogh, Lucy Phillips, Fiona Kelly, Conor Gale, Roisin McGrath, Max Galloway, Cassandra Dunne and Niamh Lynch.
