Castlemartin talk this evening
A reminder that a talk on the history of Castlemartin House will be given by Nessa Dunlea in the Town Hall tonight, Monday 1 April, writes Brian Byrne.
The talk is one in a series being given on local history and heritage for Kilcullen 700. It will begin at 8pm. Nessa will outline the background to ownership of the land the house that replaced a former castle on the estate.
She will also recall some of the people who worked on the estate in living memory, and will refer to work carried out in recent times on a number of the old features.
Admission is free and everybody is welcome. There will be time after the presentation for questions and discussion. Refreshments will be served.
