Ballymore history talks
A pair of Saturday evening talks on local history is scheduled for the Resource Centre in Ballymore over coming weekends, organised by the Ballymore Eustace History Society.
Next Saturday 30 March, Chris Lawlor will describe the events of the 1798 Rebellion in the Ballymore and Dunlavin area. Chris is a local historian who has written several books on the rebellion.
On Saturday 6 April, Chris Corlett will explore the archaeology of the Poulaphuca Reservoir, drawing on his numerous publications on the archaeology of the West Wicklow area.
Both talks begin at 8pm. There is a €5 cover charge and light refreshments will be available.
