Arts and creative awards and bursaries opportunities

A number of Arts grants and awards are now open for application to Kildare County Council by artists, arts collectives, and community groups.

They include Artist in Schools Residency Bursary Award, the Artistic Entrepreneur Bursary Award, Dennis O'Driscoll Literary Bursary Award, Drama League of Ireland Summer School Bursary Award, and Emerging Artist Solo Exhibition Award.

There are also opportunities in the Executive Coaching for Creative Professionals Bursary Award scheme, the Local Publishing Award, and the Recording Bursary @Platform4 Recording Studio Bursary Award.

Film maker grants available are the Short Grass Short Film Bursary Award €1,500, and the Short Grass Short Film Commission Award €12,500.

Residency opportunities are the Tyrone Guthrie Centre Residency Bursary Award and the Youth Arts Residency Bursary Award.

In addition, as part of Kildare's 2019 Creative Ireland programme, the Council is inviting applications for bursary awards that will develop bodies of work with a public interface/engagement.

These are open to individuals and groups to creatively explore themes of Well being, Sense of place, Heritage (which may include historical exploration), Music, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and m, and Climate change.

Information sessions on 'how to apply for an arts award' will be held in Leixlip, Newbridge and Athy during February 2019.
