Villain/comedian Eric coming to the Moat

'Fair City' villain character Cathal Spillane will be on stage in the Moat Theatre on Thursday next, 31 January ... but in his actor Eric Lalor's much more people-friendly persona, writes Brian Byrne.

He brings his new stand-up comedy show to the Naas stage following a stint as another villain, the Count de Monet in the pantomime ‘Cinderella’ at Liberty Hall.

The actor has actually been a comedian for years, and was brought along by Des Bishop on his 'Fitting In' tour. He subsequently supported many of the biggest performers on the comedy circuit.

He excels in both careers, and was awarded Irish Standup of the Year two years in a row by the readers of entertainment.ie. He won the Best Actor Award in the 2017 London Ealing Festival for his role in ‘In The Valley of the Moon’.

Tickets are €10 on moattheatre.com or 045 883030.
