Archeological event in Ballitore
An archeological conversation in Ballitore on Monday next will provide insights into local discoveries before the extension of the M9 motorway through South Kildare, writes Brian Byrne.
At the event in the Old Quaker Meeting House, archeologist Noel Dunne will also speak about the ancient village and other discoveries at Mullaghmast during the work.
The event is organised by the South Kildare Villages History and Heritage Group in conjunction with Kildare Libraries, and those interested will have the opportunity to join the group on the evening.
The talk starts at 7.30pm and will include refreshments. Booking is advised, which can be done by emailing ballitorelib@kildarecoco.ie.
