CVs and interview techniques workshops upcoming in libraries

Kilcullen's Paul Aspell will be conducting a series of workshops on CVs and interview techniques in County Kildare's libraries during the next three months, writes Brian Byrne.

One on how to prepare a curriculum vitae and filling in application forms will held in Athy Library on Monday 17 September, and in libraries in Ballitore (10 October), Rathangan (17 October) and Kildare (1 November). All but the last one are in the mornings, while the Kildare event is in the evening.

Included in the areas he will deal with is tailoring a CV to best show work history, skills, education and personality. He will also discuss how to research a company and find out more about a role being applied for.

Paul's workshop on Interview Techniques and Guidelines will be presented in libraries in Maynooth (16 October), Newbridge (24 October), Leixlip (25 October) and Kildare (15 November). All except the Newbridge event are in the evening.

This workshop will be tailored to best suit the participants' needs and enable them to conduct the perfect interview.

These workshops are part of the Kildare Libraries' Events Programme under the heading of Work Matters at the Library.
