A musical welcome for Anna in Kilcullen
Just a reminder that Anna Harrington, who is walking around the world to highlight the fact that nearly a billion people don't have access to clean water, will be coming to Kilcullen tomorrow morning, writes Brian Byrne.
She will be leaving Newbridge from the Library at 8.30am with a number of local people, and hopes to arrive at Kilcullen around 10am-10.15am. She will meet Martin Heydon TD at his clinic in the Parish Centre and hand in a letter to be presnted to the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney.
After that, a medley of American music will be played by Peter Moloney on the organ in the Parish Church, and a poem about water will be read by a local resident. Before Anna leaves to continue her day's journey, there will be an opportunity to discuss her mission.
Everybody is welcome to come along and meet her.
