Open Evening at Halverstown NS tonight
An Open Evening at St Joseph's NS in Halverstown tonight, Tuesday will give parents of prospective new pupils for next September a chance to look at a small but busy and active school with a very strong focus on teaching and learning, writes Brian Byrne.
There are still places available in the lovely little school for next year. From gardening and computer coding to debating and singing, the school encourage everyone’s talents and interests. Its motto is 'one small school, one big family' and anyone who attends will feel part of the family atmosphere, particularly at big events such as Grandparents Day and Open Evenings.
Anyone interested in having a look around can contact the school at 045 485374 or by email at halverstownschool@gmail.com or come along to the Open Evening on tonight at 7pm.
"We would love to show you around and tell you about our school," a staff member told the Diary. "If you know of anyone who is looking for school places, please let them know about us. Don’t forget to check out our Facebook and website also."
