'Jerusalem Tomorrow' at the Moat
If you want a new take on the Gospel in relation to Easter, you could do no better than to head for the Moat Theatre in Naas on Thursday next, 29 March, writes Brian Byrne.
The Mend and Make Do theatre company is presenting Castledermot-born writer John MacKenna's 'Jerusalem Tomorrow', a radical reimagining of Mark's Gospel set in contemporary times.
Actors, singers and musicians tell the story of the life and death of one man in the words and stories of those who knew him.
The cast includes John himself, along with James Gormley, Katie Jacques, and Angela Keogh. Lighting is by Tom Kennedy.
The story starts at 8pm, tickets €16/€14 and booking is available at moattheatre.com. Anything by John MacKenna, one of the country's most accomplished and thoughtful writers and producers, is worth the investment of one evening from anyone's life.
