'I was only five minutes ...'

Here's a nice bit of parking on Saturday at lunchtime, writes Brian Byrne.

Turned out to be a family doing some browsing in a nearby store. "I was only five minutes," the owner said when they all came back.

Actually, it was at least 15 minutes, which isn't the point anyway. During which time chef David Byrne had to come out to direct customers trying to exit the Crean's Place car park.

I suppose some people, when they've just spent €80,000 on a new car (it's a 181 D reg), feel they've earned the right to leave the thing just anywhere ...
