Home wanted for bees this summer

A reminder, since it may have gotten lost in all the Snow 2018 coverage since first posted, that Paul Leighton is looking for space to home two bee-hives this summer, writes Brian Byrne.

The ideal place would be a small corner of a field close to Kilcullen.

The hives will be populated with native black bees, and the location would need to be on land where pesticides aren't used.

"The hives would have a very positive effect on local pollination and the environment," Paul told the Diary.
