GAA does big cleanup

Kilcullen GAA Development plans, funded by the LipSync monies, are in full swing, writes Dara Clarke, starting with a major clean-up operation this week at the Training Pitch. See below for ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos at the boundary hedge and gate on the Athy Road.

The works are being carried out by local contractor Iomar James Kelly and in conjunction with Kilcullen Tidy Towns plans. Also, the new toilets and changing rooms are in place, with the water connection work to take place over the school holidays.

Unusual items uncovered amongst the rubbish included a microwave, a TV and some tyres, surprisingly no footballs!
