A soft Dun Ailinne dawning, and later the sausages sizzled ...
Well, the luck of the weather draw, the brighter day which should be good for the Easter Market in the market square later today didn't quite rise at dawn this morning, writes Brian Byrne.
But for the 10th annual gathering at the Dun Ailinne sculpture the sun didn't come through quite early enough. Still, it was a very pleasant meeting up of many in KCA and others who have seen this adventure through the last decade.
And the sausages and brown bread, coffee, tea and scones in 1060 Nicholastown afterwards, once more through the hospitality of Ray and Fiona Kelly, made it all worthwhile as ever.
Great chat, with maybe plans for the future suggested, and a viewing of photographs from the dedication of the Dun Ailinne Interpretive Park to the music of the late Liam O'Flynn got the weekend off to a nice start.
