Henry Shefflin to present awards
A reminder that Kilcullen GAA competitive teams U13 to U16 boys and girls will be presented with awards tonight, Thursday 7 December, in Scoil Bhride, writes Liam Cronin.
Henry Shefflin from Kilkenny, the winner of ten All-Ireland hurling medals, will present the medals and juvenile mentor of the year awards.
Shefflin is widely regarded as one of the greatest hurlers in the history of the game, with many ranking him as the number one player of all time. During his playing days he won a record-breaking, 13 leinster titles, 11 all-star awards, and six National league medals, as well as being the only player ever to be named Hurler of the Year on three occasions.
It promises to be a memorable night in Kilcullen, all are welcome to attend.
