Upcoming events
They're not in Kilcullen but are within striking distance, so it's no harm to mention a few events upcoming in Suncroft, the Curragh and Booleigh, writes Brian Byrne.
The Suncroft Winter Craft Fair will be held in the village's Community Centre on Saturday 26 November, from 10am-4pm. All welcome to come and suss out something different in the Christmas present or decorations space.
A charity Auction will be held in Conlans of Booleigh on Friday 4 December, starting at 8pm. It's in aid of the Friends of St Luke cancer care organisation, and among the more than 200 items for auction are a number which have been collected from generous Kilcullen people.
The Joseph M Martin Cantata, 'Let there be Christmas', will be performed in the Garrison Church on The Curragh on Sunday 10 December, featuring the Blessington Millenium Choir. It starts at 7pm, and will include other joyful festive music. Entrance is by donation of €10 and includes refreshments. Children will be admitted free.
We'll update with more local events as we get news of them.
