Two Kilcullen finalists in Kildare Business Awards 2017

There are two Kilcullen finalists in the Kildare Business Awards 2017 competition organised by County Kildare Chamber and sponsored by Clark Recruitment, writes Brian Byrne.

Fiona Maher's Nutterly Nutritious nut-based spreads business, which has recently moved into the Link Business Park, is a finalist in the Start Up Business of the Year category, along with JA Broghies Ireland Ltd, and Essential Driver and Safety Training Solutions Ltd.

And the Kilcullen Community Action and Tidy Towns Market Square Project is a finalist in the new category of Kildare Community Project of the Year, sponsored by Kildare County Council and The Queally Group. The other finalists in this category are the Naas Tidy Towns Wild Food Festival, the Clane Project Centre, Kilcock Men's Shed, the Tea Lane Graveyard Conservation group, and the Kildare Town Youth Cafe. This category will be decided by a public vote, which can be done here.

According to County Kildare Chamber chief executive Alan Shine, there was a record number of entrants in the overall competition this year.

The winners will be announced at the Awards Gala in the The K Club on 17 November.
