The passing of Mick Kirby
The Diary has learned of the death of Michael 'Mick' Kirby, of Kilcullen and formerly of Castletown Geoghegan, Westmeath.
Mick passed away on September 6, 2017, peacefully and in the presence of his loving family, at Naas Hospital.
The beloved husband of Bernadette (Bernie) and dear father of Damien, he is sadly missed by his loving wife, son, brother Peter, sisters Bridget and Rosie, mother-in-law Vera, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Mick will be reposing at his home on Thursday from 4pm-8pm. Removal will be on Friday to the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen, arriving for 11am Mass. This will be followed later by prayers in St Michael’s Church, Castletown Geoghegan, at 2pm. His funeral will be immediately afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
