Public meetings tonight in Kilcullen, Brannockstown
There are two important meetings tonight, one each in the communities of Kilcullen and Brannockstown, writes Brian Byrne.
The first one begins at 7pm in the Heritage Centre, where there will be a presentation to businesses and others interested in the proposed redevelopment of the town square. The event has been organised by Kildare County Council in association with the KCA sub-committee promoting the idea. Representatives of a major firm of landscape design and urban planning specialists, invited by the Council, will offer ideas and there will be a discussion on how to fund any plan.
At 8pm in Brannockstown Community Hall there will be a follow up meeting to the one last week where a Community Liaison Group was established for Brannoxtown National School, which is faced with a serious diminishing pupil numbers situation. The Group are hoping for a strong attendance from all who are interested in the future of the school, including parents of former, current, and potential future pupils.
Both meetings have important significance in their respective areas.
