Sophie wins Berney Bros event at Tattersalls

Kilcullen’s Sophie Foyle won the Berney Bros Concours International Combiné (CIC) for Ponies event at the Tattersalls International Horse Trials & Country Fair yesterday, writes Brian Byrne.

Riding Little Miss Fernhill, Sophie was presented with her prize by Tom Berney.

There were 23 entrants in Sophie’s competition.

Sophie has been partnered with Little Miss Fernhill since 2015, and their outings this year so far include the Hireco Punchestown Horse Trials earlier this month, Ballindenisk International, Lisgarvan House, and Tyrella in April, and Ballindenisk in March.

The pony was foaled in 2007, and is owned by Carol Gee.
