Concert in the square for Pieta House

An open-air concert is planned for the square in Kilcullen on Saturday 15 July, writes Brian Byrne.

It will be in aid of Pieta House and will be part of the Dawn Walk fundraiser which will take place on the Saturday morning, through New Abbey Stud.

Organiser Lorna Brophy says the concert will include performances by the Kilcullen Gospel Choir, the Three Newbridge Sopranos, and a ‘special guest’ whom she's keeping quiet about at the moment.

It’s the third year of the Dawn Walk since it was inaugurated by Lorna and Richie Kelly. To date it has raised over €16,000 for Pieta House, which helps deal with self-harm and suicide awareness.

Sponsor cards and raffle tickets will be available shortly for anyone interested in this year's walk.

Tickets for the open-air concert are available for €10 from Berney Chemists.
