Cormac O Caoimh in the BAG

Cork singer/songwriter Cormac O'Caoimh is about release his fourth solo record, 'Shiny Silvery Things' on 12 May, writes Roy Thompson of the Ballymore Acoustic Gigs. As part of the release, he plays three CD Launch gigs in Cork, Dublin, and, firstly, Ballymore Acoustic Gigs in Ballymore Eustace! This rather special evening will take place tonight, Monday, 8 May, in Mick Murphy's, Ballymore Eustace.

This is a terrific new record, from one of Ireland's most innovative and individual songwriters. Early reviews have been highly complimentary.

'Shiny Silvery Things positively rings with brightness and charm in a jewel encrusted trinket box full of delightful vignettes and new-found-sounds' — 1380 Radio Recommends.

'Hidden depths and lyrical touches that make the listener sit up and take notice' — Americana UK.

'Hook laden songs, superficial simplicity disguising thoughtful compositions' — Folkwords.

Admission, at just €12, includes a copy of the new CD. Doors open at 8:30pm for a 9pm show.
