Camilla missed out on on cakes treat

The Duchess of Cornwall missed out on a real treat last week when her motorcade zipped through Kilcullen without stopping, writes Brian Byrne.

She should have made a detour to Woodbine Books, where Aidan and Dawn were holding a fundraising coffee event in aid of the Holles St NMH Foundation.

Dawn did all the baking for the event, using recipes from books that are sold in the shop. €203.65 was raised for the Foundation — the money will be put towards the purchase of a Giraffe Incubator Carestation.

Looks scrumptious. The Diary missed it too, as your editor was out of the country.
