Help the pollinators workshop
The work of pollinating insects is as vital to continuing life on the planet as is air or water, writes Brian Byrne.
A workshop at Keadeen Hotel on Tuesday next, 11 April, will provide practical guidance on how we can all provide food, shelter and safety for our native bees, bumble bees and others.
Aimed at Tidy Towns groups and others interested in the subject, including individuals, the free event begins at 7pm and features Erin Jo Tiedeken of the National Biodiversity Data Centre.
Participants will learn how they can help our pollinators and also about the new Tidy Towns Pollinator Award ‘Get Buzzing’.
