The UBQ: Does my bum look big in this?

Your editor doesn’t have a clue about the complexities of female fashion, writes Brian Byrne. But after many decades of being married to one of the fair sex, I do have experience of the angst it can generate.

So while it clearly it isn’t aimed at me, I can appreciate just how helpful the latest post from Gail’s Rails could be to an awful lot of women out there (and just as stress-relieving to their male partners, where appropriate).

It’s a comprehensive post on '10 Wardrobe Essentials' for the current season, covering jackets, jeans, scarves, shirts, skirts, tops, dresses, runners … and that LBD.

Well worth checking out, ladies (and lads, have a look too, because you’re still going to be asked the Unwinnable Bum Question — UBQ — and you might as well answer it with at least the appearance of knowing what’s going on …).
