The passing of Denis Melia
There are many in the area who will be saddened at news of the death of Denis Melia, of Crosshaven in Co Cork, and formerly of Kinneagh, and of Woodlands in Naas. Denis was a businessman in Newbridge for many years where his clothing shop was a regular port of call for men with an eye to fashion.
Denis was brother of the late Paddy and Mattie, and he is fondly remembered by his wife Teresa, son Ronan, daughter Paula, son-in-law Brian, daughter-in-law Liz, grandchildren Aoife, Karl, Isabella and Hayley, sisters-in-law Frances, Peggy, Nuala and the late Rita, brothers-in-law Liam and Tony, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
He will be reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Newbridge, from 5pm on Friday with Rosary at 8pm. Removal will take place on Saturday morning at 10.30 to arrive at Saint Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge, for Requiem Mass at 11am.
Burial will take place afterwards in Saint Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to the Friends of Saint Brigid's Hospice, Moore Abbey. For this purpose there will be a donations box in the church.
