Some regular readers may have noticed the Diary’s coverage to be a bit spotty and out of sync over the last few weeks, writes Brian Byrne.
Well, that was because your editor was out of the country visiting family. And like it was for the old wandering Australian drovers as depicted in this famous sculpture in Brisbane, it’s not easy to keep in touch all the time.
So this is a ‘thank you’ to all of you who sent material, story tips, and photographs which helped me keep the Diary moving onwards every day, true to its motto, ‘Day by day in a village grown bigger’.
Normal service is now restored.
