The passing of Sr Lelia Baker
Sr Lelia was well known to generations of schoolchildren in Kilcullen, having taught here for all her working life from when she arrived in 1941. She left Kilcullen when she retired at the age of 65, and has since lived in the order's Griffith Avenue home.
Sr Lelia was 73 years a member of the Cross & Passion order, and was in her 97th year on her death.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in the Marino St Vincent de Paul Parish Church on Tuesday at 11am and will be followed by burial at Dardistown Cemetery.
