Early planning for Summer Flowers

Preparations for the Summer Flowers Project 2017 will get under way with a letter drop to all businesses and Main Street premises on 4 February, writes Brian Byrne.

This is in line with an agreement at Kilcullen Community Action/Tidy Towns that work on the project would start sooner than on previous years.

At the recent KCA meeting, it was also decided to work with local floral experts on deciding a colour palette for this year's scheme.

A quotation request for tender for the scheme is currently being prepared, to cover supply, installation and securing the boxes and hanging baskets.
