Beware, thieves about!
The theft of a tractor battery from a yard at Sunnyhill last week highlights the continuing need for people to be vigilant about strangers driving around the area, writes Brian Byrne.
The battery was stolen on Thursday 19 January from a Massey Ferguson 35, and a spare kept in the yard is also missing.
Other items, including hand tools, have also been taken from the same premises over the last year.
Proximity to the motorway means that the area around Kilcullen is vulnerable to quick raids by thieves who don't live in the area.
Any concerning behaviour of vehicles or people should be reported to the Kilcullen Garda District Text Alert system.
