CPC will not open tomorrow

Cross & Passion College is one of ten secondary schools across County Kildare which won't open tomorrow because of the ASTI union's strike action.

The Board of Management at CPC says it regrets that 'it is not possible to re-open the College on Monday Nov 7th after mid-term until appropriate health, safety and child protection provisions can be established'.

The other colleges in this area which have issued similar notices include Newbridge College, St Paul's Monasterevin, Naas CBS, St Mary's College Naas, Colaiste Lorcain Castledermot, and Kildare Town Community School.

Three local colleges say they will be open — Piper's Hill Naas, Athy Community College, and the Curragh Post-Primary.
