Call for safety audit on Thompson's Cross
Councillor Martin Miley has chimed in on the Thompson's Cross matter, writes Brian Byrne.
In a motion before the next meeting of the Athy Municipal District, on Monday 21 November, he's calling on Kildare County Council to do a safety audit on the recent works, 'from a pedestrian, cyclist, and motorist' point of view.
He also wants his own MD and the Naas MD to call on Transport Infrastructure Ireland and the Council to 'provide a roundabout at this location taking in the Sunnyhill Road, Crookstown/Ballitore Road and the Athy Road, similar to a motion already passed in 2010.
The meeting will take place in the Council Chamber, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas.
