The passing of George Prendergast
The Diary has learned of the death of George Prendergast, Roseberry, Newbridge, father of Antoinette Buckley of Sunbury, Kilcullen.
Retired Company Sergeant and late of the Band of the Curragh Command, George died peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his loving family at Naas General Hospital. Father of the late Andrea Maria.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Joan, sons Brian and Alan, daughters Antoinette, Siobháin, Niamh and Franziska, sister Sr Rita, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
Removal will take place from his residence on Wednesday at 10.15am to arrive at St Conleth's Parish Church for 11am Funeral Mass. Funeral afterwards to St Conleth's Cemetery, Newbridge.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Friends of Naas General Hospital, for which there will be a donations box in the church. House private, please
